1. Accept cards, wallets and bank debits
Stripe lets your customers pay the way they already pay. Turn on the methods you want to offer in your Stripe dashboard and they appear on the Pay Now screen of your Avaza invoices.

2. A Pay Now button on every invoice
Once Stripe is enabled on an invoice template, every invoice email and web view carries a Pay Now button. Customers enter their payment details in the Pay Now pop-up and Avaza takes care of the bookkeeping.
- Paid and recorded automaticallyWhen the payment goes through, the invoice is marked Paid and a payment record with the Stripe reference number is created for you.

3. Charge saved payment methods automatically
With Auto Charge, customers tick Save payment details for future purchases when they pay online. The payment method is stored securely with Stripe and is ready for the next invoice.
- Recurring and retainer profilesTurn on Enable Autocharge on a profile and each new invoice it creates is charged to the saved payment method automatically.
- One-off invoicesOpen any unpaid or partially paid invoice, click Record Payment, choose Stripe and pick the saved payment method.
- Clear outcomesCard payments post instantly, bank debits show as In Progress until they clear, and failed attempts are logged in the activity feed.
- Paid plans with StripeAuto Charge needs a connected Stripe account and is available on paid Avaza plans.
4. Pass the processing fee on when you need to
Stripe charges a fee on each payment it processes. If you want customers who pay online to cover it, add the surcharge as its own line item so it is transparent and easy to remove.
- Add a surcharge linePut an Online Payment Surcharge line on the invoice, for example 3% of the total, alongside the work you are billing.
- Explain it in the notesUse the invoice notes to tell customers the surcharge applies only if they pay by card or online, not by bank transfer or cheque.
- Remove it for offline paymentsIf a customer pays by bank transfer, delete the surcharge line before you record the payment so the invoice closes at the right amount.

5. Payments flow through to Xero or QuickBooks Online
Connect your accounting system and the payment Stripe recorded in Avaza is applied to the matching invoice in your books, so receivables stay accurate without re-keying.

How do I connect Stripe to Avaza?
Go to Settings › Online Payments, click Add, choose Stripe and click Connect with Stripe. Sign in to your existing Stripe account or fill in the form to create a new one, then authorise access. Finally, open the invoice templates you want under Settings › Invoice Settings and toggle Stripe on for each of them.
Which payment methods can my customers use?
Through Stripe, customers can pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB and Diners Club cards, by Apple Pay and Google Pay, or by bank direct debit: ACH in the United States, Bacs in the United Kingdom, BECS in Australia and New Zealand, SEPA in Europe and PADs in Canada. Cards are on by default; other methods are switched on for the Avaza platform in your Stripe dashboard.
What happens in Avaza when a customer pays?
The invoice status changes to Paid and a payment record carrying the Stripe reference number is created automatically. If the customer pays part of the amount due, the invoice shows as Partial with the balance still outstanding. The payment appears in your Transaction List report with Stripe as its payment source, and it syncs to Xero or QuickBooks Online if you have that integration connected.
Which countries can use the Stripe integration?
Your business needs a Stripe account, and Stripe supports merchants in the countries and regions listed on stripe.com/global: 51 as of September 2026, including Australia, Canada, most of Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States. Stripe marks India and Indonesia as preview and a few African countries as extended-network availability, and adds countries regularly, so check Stripe's page for the current list. Once your business is supported you can sell to customers anywhere in the world.
Does the Stripe integration cost extra?
No. The Stripe, PayPal and Payoneer integrations are included on every Avaza plan, including Free. Stripe charges its own processing fee on each payment, published by country at stripe.com/pricing. Auto Charge, which bills saved payment methods automatically, is available on paid Avaza plans.
Can I pass the Stripe processing fee on to customers?
Yes, by adding the surcharge as a separate line item on the invoice, for example an Online Payment Surcharge of 3%, and explaining in the invoice notes that it only applies to card or online payments. If the customer pays by bank transfer or cheque instead, remove the surcharge line before you record the payment. Check that surcharging is permitted where you trade.
Can I use PayPal or Payoneer as well as Stripe?
Yes. Avaza supports Stripe, PayPal and Payoneer as online payment providers. Add each one under Settings › Online Payments and enable it on your invoice templates, and customers will see a Pay Now button for every provider you have turned on.
